The Bureau of Transportation Statistics is issuing this directive as the annual update to the lists of the Reportable Airports and Reporting Air Carriers.  Reportable airports accounts for 1% or more of the domestic scheduled passenger enplanements. Oakland International Airport is being dropped from the List of Reportable Airports beginning January 1, 2009.  Reporting air carriers account for 1% or more of the scheduled domestic passenger revenues.  Also carriers can volunteer to report on-time data.  There are no changes in the Reporting Air Carrier List.  For the detailed reporting instructions please refer to Technical Directive 17, which can be found at:

For calendar year 2009, there are 19 reporting air carriers:

AirTran Airways Corporation
Alaska Airlines, Inc.
American Airlines, Inc.
American Eagle Airlines, Inc
Atlantic Southeast Airlines
Comair Inc.
Continental Air Lines, Inc.
Delta Air Lines, Inc.
ExpressJet Airlines, Inc.
Frontier Airlines, Inc.
Hawaiian Airlines, Inc.
JetBlue Airways
Mesa Airlines, Inc.
Northwest Airlines, Inc.
Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. **
SkyWest Airlines, Inc.
Southwest Airlines, Co.
United Air Lines, Inc.
US Airways, Inc.

** Pinnacle Airlines is reporting as a volunteer air carrier.

For calendar year 2009, there are 31 reportable airports that meet the threshold of over 6.76 million revenue passengers.
