Round 7 Approved Capital Projects

The USDA Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit accepted
Round 7 nominations for Tahoe Capital Project expenditures from October
19, 2005 through November 18, 2005. These expenditures are authorized by the Southern Nevada
Public Land Management Act of 1998 (SNPLMA,
Public Law 105-263) as amended by the Clark County Conservation of Public Land
and Natural Resources Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-282).
Lake Tahoe projects considered for funding have to meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be the responsibility of the federal government in the
Environmental Improvement Program (EIP);
and/or
- Have a willing and ready federal sponsor.
Selection Process
All nominations received will go though a selection process described in the
Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act Implementation Agreement, dated June

Individuals who do not submit a nomination but would like to be involved in the project selection process will have
a number of opportunities to be involved. Public comments
can be made during a Lake Tahoe Federal Advisory Committee.
