Weddings on National Forest Lands
Wedding ceremonies are permitted in certain areas on National Forest lands in the Lake Tahoe Basin. You will find
a list below of Wedding Chapels that are under Special-Use Permit with the Forest Service. This list also includes
the authorized locations where these chapels are permitted to conduct weddings.

Chapels Under Special-Use Permit
The following list of Wedding Service providers have a Special-Use Permit
with the National Forest Service office at the Lake Tahoe Basin Management
Unit. These permits give them permission to conduct weddings on National
Forest Lands in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

sites does not constitute endorsement by the Forest Service of the web site

Authorized Locations for the Chapels Listed Above
Chapel of the Pines, Chapel of the Bells, The Wedding Chapel at Harveys, and The
Horizon Lake Tahoe Wedding Chapel are all authorized to conduct weddings on National Forest
Land at the
following locations for groups of 20 or less:
- Logan Shoals Vista Point
- Eagle Falls above Highway 89
- Valhalla*
* With your own Ceremony Official, a wedding may be scheduled at Valhalla by
contacting the Tahoe Tallac Association at (530) 541-4975.
The Lakeside Christian Essene Church dba The Dream-Maker is authorized to
conduct weddings on National Forest land at the North Shore Stateline Lookout at Crystal Bay, Nevada.
Vehicle access will be provided through Dream-maker.
Please Note: Stateline Lookout is hike-in only, no vehicle access.
