Citizens Sought for Lincoln County Resource Advisory Committee
The Kootenai National Forest and Lincoln County Commissioners are jointly seeking members for a the Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) under Section 205 of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act of 2000, which was reauthorized in October 2008 for another four years.
On October 30, 2000, the President signed Public Law 106-393. This law is called the "Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000" and commonly known as Payments to States.
The Lincoln County Resource Advisory committee was established to work with the KNF to fund projects under Title II. Designated Federal Official is Bob Castaneda, Forest Supervisor, Kootenai National Forest. For more information contact committee coordinator Barbara Edgmon at (406) 293-6211.
