To support an on-going study for the National Cooperative Freight Research Program (NCFRP), the following survey aims to identify the state-of-practice and critical needs for freight modeling and analysis tools to support public-sector freight planning and decision-making. The survey results will provide an overview of the freight modeling practices in use across the country and identify high-priority improvements to address analysis tool deficiencies. Ultimately, this NCFRP effort will produce a guidebook for planners and modelers to develop and improve freight forecasting analysis tools for use in investment decisions. Any public- or private-sector decision-makers, modelers, and planners involved with freight planning and modeling are welcome and encouraged to participate in this survey.
