NGS - Integrated Coastal Ocean Mapping Data - Alaska

Lidar data collected in Alaska along the coast of the Kenai Peninsula is now online and has been bare earth classified. It is a tide controlled (MLW) data set with bare earth points classified by NGS and obvious water points classified by CSC.

Oregon High Density Data

Additional coastal data for Oregon has been added to the online archives. This data was collected at a very high density with up to 8 pts/meter^2 to facilitate feature extraction and forestry inventories.

East Coast of Florida County Data

Data is now available for St Johns and portions of Seminole Counties on the East Coast of Florida. The data is from 2004 and 2005 and has been classified. The data is only model points, which are the critical points for DEM creation. This allows for easy download of the entire county, but does not provide high resolution of small features.

Topographic and Bathymetric Data Inventory for the Gulf of Mexico

The Gulf Inventory is a "snapshot" of availability as of November 15, 2007, and it identifies the location, collection date, and sources of available data sets. This resource focuses on high-resolution data sources and is available as part of "A Roadmap to a Seamless Topobathy Surface." More information is available at www.csc.noaa.gov/topobathy/inventory

Central and Northern California IfSAR Data Now Available to Coastal Resource Managers

Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IfSAR) data covering the coast of California from the Oregon border to Santa Barbara County are now available. This data set is licensed and requires a signed license agreement before data delivery. State and local agencies and nongovernmental organizations that conduct coastal management activities are covered by NOAA's license. Southern California IfSAR data, covering the entire area from Santa Barbara through San Diego counties, are available without license. For further information, contact Keil.Schmid@noaa.gov.

2006 Maryland Data

Several new counties of 2006 data were added and include Kent, Queen Anne and Caroline Counties. In addition, the older 2002 to 2005 data has been upgraded with water points removed.

Great Lakes - Lake Ontario

Three county-wide data sets in the state of New York have been added to the online archives. The counties of Cayuga and Niagara are on the Lake Ontario coast and Erie County is located on the Lake Erie shoreline. The data was contributed by FEMA and the Cayuga County Department of Planning & Economic Development. The Erie and Niagara county data sets were collected in 2008. All three county data sets are bare earth classified)

Texas Coastal Counties

Most of the Texas coastal counties have been added to the lidar archives. The data was contributed by Texas Natural Resources Information System and covers the counties of Jefferson, Liberty, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Brazoria, Matagorda, Jackson, Calhoun, Aransas, Refugio, San Patricio, Willacy and Cameron.

Digital Coast Data Access Viewer

A new viewer and download tool for Lidar data and other center data is now online at http://maps.csc.noaa.gov/dataviewer/viewer.html.
