Climate Variability

There is a multitude of factors that lead to the climate we experience. Some of these like El Niño/La Niña may be familiar to you but there are many others that you may not be as familiar, like the Arctic Oscillation (AO), Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) or the Pacific North American (PNA) tele-connection. All of these factors are indicators of much broader and complex interactions. When collected and examined over a period of time these factors become valuable input for climate prediction across the United States and the entire Earth.
