Schools in Greater New Orleans (GNO) suffered substantial damage as a result of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. As residents return to GNO, the school boards may evaluate the infrastructure requirements to determine appropriate educational resource needs. Once those determinations are made, some of the school projects might be reviewed using these Alternative Arrangements. If FEMA determines that a project is eligible for consideration under these Alternative Arrangements, then project specific information will be added to the appropriate section of the FEMA web site.
