Judge Bruce L. Birchman

Judge Birchman has served as an Administrative Law Judge at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since 1978. Prior to that, he was an Administrative Law Judge at the Department of Health & Human Resources and, at the U.S. Interstate Commerce Commission, a confidential legal assistant to several Commissioners and Public Counsel in the Bureau of Enforcement.

He is a graduate of Rutgers University, Newark College of Arts & Sciences and Rutgers School of Law.

Judge Birchman is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Judge Birchman serves frequently as a third-party neutral at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
