Abstract	Mattisse builds on the work of the Quartet project in developing Integrated Road Transport Environments. Mattisse allows real time travel information to be exchanged easily between nine regional UK transport authorities, allowing them to respond more quickly and efficiently to travel problems. The member councils are the Birmingham City Council, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Leicestershire County Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Wolverhampton City Council, Coventry City Council, Leicester City Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, and Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council. The concept of this website is to give the visitor access to the latest information on traffic, rail service, car parking lots, bus services, cycling, air quality and weather. The site also encourages carpooling by prominently linking to the shareajourney website. The reviewer found that while the traffic maps and weather (provided by links to the BBC weather service) were near realtime, not all sections of the site are being updated such as the air quality which shows graphs still from 2002 and rail service.
