Title Flexible pavement rehabilitation manual. Rev., June 2001
Record ID 24098
Corporate Creator California Department of Transportation
Publisher California Department of Transportation information
Publication Date 20010601
Abstract This manual delineates the basic design strategies of the 1979 Asphalt Concrete Overlay Design Manual plus the many changes in procedures, and incorporates the use of new strategies and materials presently being used by Caltrans. Environmental concerns and the States commitment to recycle as much roadway material as economics permit have influenced rehabilitation methods. Consequently, over the past 21 years, Caltrans rehabilitation strategies have increased in number with new materials, interlayers, recycling of existing pavements, and the addition of waste products (such as rubber) in asphalt concrete. The manual is intended as a tool to provide guidance to those who are recommending asphalt concrete pavement rehabilitation for planning, design and maintenance of the states highways. Bibliography, 16 photos, 73 p.
