Abstract |
The Springfield Area Transportation Study (SATS) has prepared the FY/2004-2006 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a detailed listing of transit and street & highway projects planned for the next three years. The TIP includes estimated costs, funding sources, and maps. This document is updated annually and can be downloaded from this Web site. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) has been prepared by the Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning
Commission (SSCRPC) with guidance and input from the Springfield Area Transportation Study (SATS) Technical Committee and Policy
Committee. The TIP is a three-year multi-modal program of staged transportation improvements including an Annual Element for fiscal
year 2004 and project listings for fiscal years 2005 and 2006. Transportation modes include street & highway, mass transit (mainline and paratransit), and bicycle/ pedestrian. The projects selected for inclusion in the Transportation Improvement Program were chosen through the SATS planning process with input from State, County and City officials, the local transit operator, and others as represented on the SATS and SSCRPC. The projects in the FY/ 2004- 2006 TIP are consistent with the SATS Long Range Transportation Plan and the Arterial Roadway Network Plan, Land Subdivision Ordinance, City of Springfield (approved October, 1993). |
