Abstract	Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) carries out research in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration through the State Planning and Research program. Links in this website provide detailed information on in-progress and completed Wisconsin Department of Transportation research projects. The research falls into the categories of asphalt, bridges, concert, environment, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), highway operations, policy & planning, safety, and soil & foundations. There is a link labeled internal studies to internal pavement studies by the Pavements Section and its Technology Advancement Unit. This website also provides access to the annual WisDOT report on research, development and technology within the department. Transportation Synthesis Reports (TSRs) linked in the website identify current information on topics of interest to DOT technical services staff in highway development, construction and operations; they consist of brief reports on the topic available online. The website also provides description and links to pooled funded projects and National Cooperative Highway Research Program projects to which Wisconsin has contributed or are of high interest. Finally there are links to WisDOTs research partners.
