THREATS: ACQUISITION OF MORE HABITAT
Priority Needs List and Tools Matrix
VI. Threats
c. Acquisition of More Habitat
- Through the Fundación Jocotoco effort, ABC is expanding its
capacity to purchase, manage, and protect high priority parcels of
land, initially in cooperation with partners in Jocotoco, Ecuador.
The strategy is to establish reserves that complement the existing
national reserve scheme in Ecuador and target conservation of endangered
species. A similar approach will be developed in other countries.
