Let's go camping!
The Willamette National Forest offers two kinds of camping:
You may camp a maximum of 14 days out of every 60 on the Forest.
Do you want a campfire?
Campfire permits are NOT required on the Willamette National Forest.
In summer, please check our Fire
Section to see if there
are any restrictions on campfires.

The Forest has more than 60 developed campgrounds, which
contain some 1,500 campsites. Campsites generally include a table,
a fire grate, and a tent or trailer space. Electric hookups are
not available, although most campgrounds have water and a vault
or flush toilets.
Most overnight sites require a user fee. While the Forest
Service administers all campground facilities, private businesses
provide daily maintenance on most sites.
Note: Additional occupancy
and use regulations apply for several campgrounds on the
Detroit, McKenzie River, and Middle Fork Ranger Districts.
Most campgrounds are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Some
of the popular sites and group areas are on a nation-wide campground
reservation system.
For reservations, visit www.recreation.gov or

additional information, contact any of the Willamette
National Forest offices.
