The Fishlake National Forest is currently engaged in a project that will designate a system of routes and areas to be open to motorized use. The process we have used is in compliance with the national guidance. The Fishlake OHV Route Designation Final Environmental Impact Statement will be signed in the spring of 2006. We believe that the outcome of this effort will be a travel management plan that is responsive to the needs of all forest users, while adhering to the requirements of the national rule.
