1. Where do I code time if I am processing employee timecards?

Time spent in normal, bi-weekly entry of employee timecards by timekeepers should be coded to ABC Activity 9X: Provide Office Support. Other tasks in processing employee timecards can be coded to ABC activity 9C: Administer Pay and Benefits.

2. Where do I code producing fish for recreation?

This work should be coded to ABC Activity 4A: Provide and Manage Opportunities for Quality Wildlife Dependent Recreation.

3. How do I code time for GIS work?

GIS is a support activity. The work should be coded to the activity that GIS is supporting. Common activities that GIS supports include land planning, restortation, as well as others.

4. Who is allowed to code time to ABC work activity 9A: Provide Directorate Leadership and Oversight?

This code is to be used only by the following persons within the Service:

  • Director
  • Deputy Directors
  • Special Assistants to the Director and Deputy Directors
  • Regional Directors
  • Assistant Directors
  • Assistant Regional Directors
  • Deputy Assistant Directors

This code is to be used for Program leadership and Oversight that can't be attributed to more specific ABC activities.
