A MINUTE OF HEALTH WITH CDC
High Percentage Shots
National, State, and Local Area Vaccination Coverage Among Children Aged 19–35 Months — United States, 2007 September 4, 2008

This program is presented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. CDC — safer, healthier people.
Congratulations parents. Vaccination rates for children under three are at record highs. Seventy seven percent of children received their recommended vaccines. For the first time, coverage for chickenpox vaccine topped ninety percent. American Indian and Alaska Natives had the highest coverage of any race or ethnic group. Despite this good news, there’s still work to be done. Many states have much lower coverage than the national average.

It’s important to make sure that children receive vaccines on time to help stop the spread of diseases and prevent the return of those that have been eliminated.
