Training Provider / Employer Information
Welcome to the Training Provider/Employer information page.

NOTE: The information on this page does not apply to Certificated Flight Instructors (CFIs) or other Authorized Instructors. CFIs and Authorized Instructors already have authority to conduct accredited flight activities in the WINGS - Pilot Proficiency Program and also have validation privileges by virtue of their status as a CFI or Authorized Instructor.

Training Provider

Training Providers are persons or organizations that conduct training under the WINGS - Pilot Proficiency Program and AMT Awards Program. Training Providers may also provide on-line validation of training completed.

Training Providers may conduct FAA accepted Inspection Authorization (IA) refresher training provided they receive additional authorization from the FAA. If you wish to conduct IA refresher training, please contact your local FAASTeam Program Manager for additional information.

Training Providers are approved only after completing FAA-provided Internet training, which is offered on a scheduled basis. To see the upcoming schedule of training opportunities, the call-in telephone number, and additional important information, click on the Events / Seminars link in the left navigation bar and search for Training Provider training by entering "Training Provider" (without the quotation marks) in the Keywords box.

If you are interested in becoming a registered Training Provider, please click here to continue the application process.

Employer

Employers are persons or organizations that employ FAA certificated pilots, mechanics, repairmen, or non-certificated maintenance personnel in the performance of maintenance or inspection of US registered aircraft or components thereof.

Employers conducting in-house training of aviation personnel may streamline their participation in the WINGS - Pilot Proficiency Program and AMT Awards Program by registering as an "Employer". The training provided by registered employers is eligible for award credit for both the employees and the employer in the AMT Awards Program.

Manufacturers and Institutions of Higher Education

Aviation Industry Manufacturers, Nationally accredited Universities or Colleges, and Vocational/Technical schools may provide training eligible for award credit under the WINGS - Pilot Proficiency Program and AMT Awards Program without registering as a Training Provider. However, becoming registered as a Training Provider will allow these entities to validate the training provided to their customers and students.
