Chairman Joseph T. Kelliher's statement on wireless broadband access at FERC headquarters
"FERC announces that wireless broadband Internet service is now available on the 2nd floor hearing rooms and Commission Meeting Room. At this time, high speed Internet services are accessible through Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Velocita cellular providers. Nextel will be available by the end of June and Cingular will be available by mid-July. This access is provided independent of FERC and is controlled by the respective cellular providers. The use of this service will require the purchase of a wireless air card and data service plan from one of the aforementioned vendors. If you would like further information on establishing a service agreement, or have questions on an existing account, please contact the vendors directly."
