Waldport, OR -- A small section of national forest road located approximately 12 miles northeast of Florence will be temporarily closed.
According to Siuslaw National Forest officials, timber sale activity on Forest Road 2570 at the three mile marker will keep about ¼ mile of the road closed beginning December 9 reopening again sometime mid-January or when logging operations are complete.
The road will remain open to traffic on Saturday and Sundays.
Forest Road 2570 is part of the forest road system that connects with the North Fork of the Siuslaw River road. Signs will be up to warn the public of the closure.
