Reconstruction Road Work Temporarily Closes Gopher Creek Road

Corvallis, OR –Gopher Creek Road will be closed for approximately one month while reconstruction work occurs.
According to Road Engineer, Chuck Walt, work that began today on Siuslaw National Forest road # 3125, located 12-15 miles southeast of Toledo along side Gopher Creek, includes shaping, culvert repairs and installations, and resurface rocking in an attempt to improve drainage and pot holes.
Work will take approximately one month to complete, weather depending. Gopher Creek road will be closed during the day and open again for vehicle travel during nights and weekends.
The Siuslaw National Forest regrets any inconvenience this may place on forest visitors.
