Awards and Recipients
Since its establishment in 1973, a considerable number of projects sponsored by the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) have garnered national and international awards. Several of these projects have been highlighted in publications such as The Chronicle for Higher Education, The New York Times, The League for Innovation in the Community College's League TLC, and Science Magazine, among others.
Many more projects have received recognition through additional grants and honors at the state and local level. Because the number of state and local awards is too large to maintain on this Web site, the list below includes only national and international awards beginning in 1992. The list also provides links to project descriptions in the FIPSE online grant database, as well as links to general award information on the awarding organizations' websites. Because the list is neither complete nor comprehensive, we invite current and former FIPSE grantees to bring to our attention additional national and international awards that they have received.
