About the Data
The NOAA Composite Shoreline is one of seven vector shorelines featured on the NOAA Shoreline Website. This shoreline was created primarily for high-resolution cartographic representation. It is distributed as a seamless line, generally depicting mean high water, with national coverage (continental U.S. and Hawaii). It was generated from a collection of NOAA shoreline manuscripts (T-sheets) and other sources representing multiple years.
