Herge Feinstein Quincy Library Group Images Photos Gallery

The Herger-Feinstein Quincy Library Group Pilot Project is being implemented over approximately 1.5 million acres across the Lassen and Plumas National Forest and the Sierraville District of the Tahoe National Forest. The Project is designed to test and demonstrate the effectiveness of fuels and vegetation management activities to meet ecologic, economic and fuel reduction objectives.

The Pilot Project covers the Lassen and Plumas National Forests and the Sierraville Ranger District of the Tahoe National Forest.

Impacts of Vegetation Management on Water YieldHFQLG Project - Impacts of Vegetation Management on Water Yield
The project is mandated to address the timing of water releases, water quality changes, and water-yield changes on pilot areas. The preferred Sierra Conservation Framework alternative for the Plumas, Lassen, and Tahoe National Forests includes implementing the Quincy Library Group project for five years and the resulting water-yield changes on these forests are evaluated and discussed in this report.
