Permanent Fund Dividend / Resource Rebate
CSSD has garnished the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) / Resource rebates of non-custodial parents that have applied for and are eligible for the PFD.  The garnishment includes both the dividend and the resource rebate.

You can check to see if a garnishment payment was received by going to KIDS Online.

Once the payment has been received by CSSD, those on direct deposit should allow at least 3 business days for the monies to show up in their accounts. This doesn’t include weekends or holidays.  If you receive your child support by check, you should allow additional time for mail delivery.

Contacting the division by email or telephone to ask for the status of the PFD payments will not provide you with additional information on when to expect garnishment payments.

Atwood Building Visitor Parking
The Linny Pacillo parking garage is now open.  You may use the 2-hour visitor parking for Atwood building business only.  After you have concluded your business, you MUST validate your ticket with the security guard at the front desk in the Atwood Building lobby to park for free.

The parking garage is located directly across from the Atwood Building on 7th Avenue.  Entry is on E Street.

If the lot is full, you are welcome to come to Building Management, Suite 102 and pick up a temporary parking pass for Lot 102.  Parking Information & Map  revised 10/20/08

Visa Debit Card
CSSD offers a Free Direct Payment Card (DPC) to custodial parents receiving child support payments.  Future child support payments are loaded automatically to your card.  You can use the debit card to get cash, use it as a Visa credit card or pay your bills online, and you're using your own money. Important Message
 JP Morgan has placed a “block” for pay at the pump transactions.  As a result, card holders will be required to go inside the service station to complete the transaction.  To read more => Important Message

Passport denial threshold is $2,500
If you owe more than $2,500.00 in past due child support, the U.S. Secretary of State will refuse to issue a passport to you and may revoke, restrict or limit a passport previously issued.

As of January 23, 2007 a passport is required for all persons traveling by air outside of the United States.  For more details =>  New Travel Document Requirements

Child Support Director
John Mallonee was named  the  Director of the Alaska Child Support Services Division on June 16, 2004.  Prior to his appointment, Mr. Mallonee  worked for the division for eleven years and held several different management positions during that period.
