National Simulator Program-Simulation Quality Management System (SQMS)
The objective of an effective Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) Quality Management System (SQMS) is to provide the benefit of the continuous presentation of qualified FSTD, or FSTDs. The SQMS can also provide improved overall efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day operations and accomplishment of other Sponsor-determined FSTD-associated goals and support functions.
Sponsor development and implementation of an SQMS program is currently voluntary.
Two SQMS program levels are available:
- The "Basic" program satisfies pending regulatory requirements.
- The "Basic-Expanded" program is more comprehensive in scope and provides for:
- Management controlled change.
- The basis for FSTD Extended Evaluation Interval (EEI) authorization,
- The basis for an FSTD Designated Examiner program, and
- Establishment of qualities that correspond to comparable JAA JAR-STD requirements.
The SQMS documents, below, provide a systematic method to develop, implement, assess and operate an effective, "NSPM-accepted," program. More »
