Network Enabled Operations (NEO)
DescriptionThe JPDO Board of Directors made the decision during the February 2006 board meeting to continue with NEO initiatives, granting permission to begin a five year project with three Spiral developments (07', 09' and 11'). The goals are focused on enhancing the NextGen mission. These goals include:
- Demonstrating a series of National Airspace System (NAS) transformational concepts traceable to the Baseline Operational Improvement (OI) Roadmap
- Ensuring each partner agency's net-enabled information architectures are compatible and interoperable
- Defining NextGen cyber-security architecture and developing net-centric capabilities that can be fielded operationally
- Collection of data to enhance the NEO business case and validate JPDO-developed models/simulation for NextGen
