The Austin Information Technology Center (AITC formerly: CFD; formerly: AAC) is the VA's centralized computer-processing center located in Austin, TX.  The AITC maintains a large library of datasets that researchers may use with proper authorization.  (See Requesting Access to VA Data.)

    • The AITC Help Desk (512-326-6780) should be consulted for questions or problems related to using the AITC computer.

  • The VIReC Help Desk can be consulted for help getting started using data at the AITC.
  • Discussions on the HSRData-L listserv sometimes address issues related to using data at the AAC, and VA data users are encouraged to subscribe to the listserv.

  • The PowerPoint presentations "SAS Programming Efficiency Tips"PowerPoint slide show offers methods to improve the performance, reliability, and readability of SAS programs; and "Efficient Programming in SAS" PowerPoint slide show is specific to use of VA datasets.
