ALPFA Boston Press Conference - ALPFA, the premier Hispanic Organization, to hold the first Hispanic Professional Conference in Boston History
At a recent press conference, the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) announced their 37th Annual Convention August 8 -12, 2009, at the Hynes Convention Center, in Boston, MA.  Over 2,500 students, professionals and executives from across the country will travel to Boston to engage some of world’s top business leaders.

The convention theme is, “Winning Traditions: Gateway to Success”.  This year, ALPFA is pleased to have KPMG as lead corporate sponsor and the first Welcoming Presenting Sponsor, State Street.  ALPFA’s convention features professional workshops with CPE credit, the Women of ALPFA program, student workshops, and one of the nation’s largest career expo for Hispanic students and professionals.  The conference includes break-out sessions facilitated by leading corporate executives and business experts. 

At the press conference Manny Espinoza, ALPFA National CEO and recently as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Magazine, was joined by, Yvonne Garcia, ALPFA National Vice President, Paul Francisco, ALPFA Boston President and Bud La Cava, Managing Partner of the Boston office of KPMG LLP.  Manny Espinoza highlighted key details and opportunities of next year’s National Convention, and the excitement of bringing the convention to Boston for the first time

The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) offers scholarships to students, in the US or Puerto Rico, who are pursuing studies in Accounting, Finance, or Business related fields. The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage those students who have demonstrated academic excellence to continue pursuing their professional careers.
