Tours

Dripstone Trail Tour - 1 hour long - Tours travel one way, 4/10 mile total, through the most highly decorated level of the Caverns. This trail is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs with strong assistance. Tours depart often; the last tour is at 4:15 PM.

Discovery Trail Tour - 1½ hours - Tours travel one way through the middle level of the Caverns, passing under the Natural Entrance and beside the cave stream before emerging into highly decorated rooms. With nearly 700 stair steps, this tour is not recommended for those with walking or health problems. Tours depart often; the last tour is at 4:00 PM. The Discovery Trail Tour is only open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Wild Cave Tour - 3-4 hours - Open by reservation only. This is a strenuous trip through undeveloped parts of the middle level. Participants should be in good physical condition and be prepared to climb and crawl. Limited to at least three but no more than twelve people per tour; each person must be at least ten years old. A responsible adult must accompany ten- to twelve-year-olds.

Adults - $10.00 for Dripstone/ Discovery Tour

Children age 6-15 - $5.00 for Dripstone/ Discovery Tour

Golden Age Passport Holders - $5.00 for Dripstone/Discovery Tours

Wild Cave Tour - $75.00; $25.00 non-refundable deposit, balance on day of tour; no other discounts apply.

Golden Age Pass - $10.00

Season Pass - Adults $25.00; Children 12.50; Golden Age Passport holders $12.50

Special Rates: Half price discounts are available to senior citizens aged 62 and up with a Golden Age Passport, disabled visitors. Complimentary tours are available to ex-prisoners of war and Purple Heart recipients with a POW/PH card, available at the Visitor Information Center.

Cave Weather

Blanchard Springs Caverns has a constant year-round temperature of 58°F and nearly 100% relative humidity. You may want to bring a lightweight jacket. The paved trails tend to be wet, so you should wear low-heeled, nonslip shoes.

 

Reservations

Reservations are recommended, especially during the summer, for groups, and when you are on a tight schedule. Reservations are necessary for the Wild Cave Tour. To make reservations call toll-free 1-888-757-2246.

 

Groups

Groups of 15 or more people get a discount on the Dripstone and Discovery tours when reservations are made at least a day in advance.

 

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the Visitor Center or Caverns - seeing-eye dogs and service dogs are an exception. There are no kennels. Pet are welcome in the recreation areas, outside the swimming areas, as long as they are leashed.
