Florida community Colleges

About Us

Florida’s Community Colleges are the key access point to higher education. Each year, we provide the point of entry to higher education for more than 800,000 students from Florida and the world.

Our Honors and Early College/Dual Enrollment programs attract some of the best and brightest minds. Our open-door policies allow students who need remediation to get the skills they need for college-level courses. Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college. Adult learners take community college courses for personal and professional development, or to prepare for a new career.

From veterans and displaced learners, to students with disabilities and PhD’s who want to hone their skills set, Florida’s Community Colleges are the passport to the American Dream.

More students enroll at Florida’s Community Colleges to retool and retrain during economic downturns. We are more committed than ever to keeping our doors open, and to helping students get the training they need to improve their lives and help boost our state’s economy.
