The National Toxicology Program ( NTP ) has the responsibility within the US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for preparation of the Report on Carcinogens (RoC). The NTP solicits and encourages the broadest participation from interested individuals or parties in nominating agents, substances, mixtures or exposure circumstances for listing in or delisting from the RoC.

Nominations for listing or delisting an agent, substance, mixture or exposure circumstance in the RoC may be submitted by any interested individual or party and should be sent to: Dr. Ruth M. Lunn, National Toxicology Program, Report on Carcinogens, 79 Alexander Drive, Room 3119, P.O. Box 12233, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709; phone: (919) 316-4637, fax: (919) 541-0144, [ Send Email ]. Nominations must contain a rationale for listing or delisting as either a known to be human carcinogen or as reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen. Appropriate background information and relevant data (e.g. Journal articles, NTP Technical Reports, IARC listings, exposure surveys, release inventories, etc.) which support a nomination should be provided or referenced when possible.

A detailed description of the nomination review process including the steps in the formal review process, is now available on the web, or can be obtained by contacting Dr. Lunn at the address indicated above. Any questions regarding the process, procedures, or the information contained herein may also be directed to Dr. Lunn.
