Primary and Secondary Proofs of Identity
Effective November 1, 2007. A new state law tightens procedures relating to proof of identity and proof of legal presence in the United States.

Do I need a CDL? Answer these few questions.

Expired driver license? To renew an expired driver license, go to any Driver License Exam Station or to one of these tag agents certified to accept state issued certified birth certificates ONLY. Tag agents cannot accept any other documents, including passports or immigration documents.

Temporary Closings

The Grove Exam Station will be closed October 2.

The Pryor Exam Station will be closed October 3.

The Vinita Exam Station will be closed October 6 and 9.

The Okmulgee Exam Station will be closed October 9.

The Poteau Exam Station will be closed October 16th.

The Chandler Exam Station is temporarily closed.

The Seminole Exam Station is temporarily closed.

Permanent Closings

The Midwest City DL Testing Office, 2550 North Air Depot, will close at the end of business on June 30, 2008. The Oklahoma National Guard has notified the Department of Public Safety the space currently occupied by the exam site is needed for expansion of Guard operations. The Department of Public Safety will continue to look for an alternate site for relocation.

In the meantime, individuals wishing to apply for an Oklahoma Driver License or Identification Card will need to go to one of the locations listed below. These sites are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:45 pm:

Commercial Driver License (CDL) skills testing will be conducted, by appointment only, at the Yukon Exam site. Individuals needing to schedule should call the Yukon Site.
