Access Instructions for Users with Disabilities

Welcome to the Official Web Site of the State of Utah. At this time, the State is incorporating into our Web site Universal Access Design Standards developed by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) and the Access Board (an independent board created by the Federal Government). We are pleased to provide an alternative medium for accessing information about our programs and services. The process of incorporating universal design elements into Utah.Gov will evolve as the site grows. If you have any suggestions for improving the accessibility features of our Web site, please contact webmaster@Utah.Gov.

Instructions for Users with Visual Disabilities

Our Web site has been designed to be used with a screen reader. In addition, most images on our web site are accompanied by "alt" tags that may be visible if your browser supports the alt-text function. The alt tags that have been chosen are an intuitive means of description and aid in navigation through the site.

We have also provided descriptions of photographs that contribute to the content of the Web page or act as navigation elements.

If a Web page has an online form that is not accessible, please call 1-877-988-3468 or email the Webmaster for assistance in obtaining the form or filling it out.

Instructions for Users who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

The State of Utah Universal Access Design Standard requires that all audio and video clips have text transcriptions or descriptions with a closed-captioned (CC) hyperlink . At this time the State is in the process of evaluating these features.
