About 45 miles of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, which stretches 2,600 miles from Canada to Mexico, crosses the Sequoia National Forest and Giant Sequoia National Monument. Three National Recreation Trails are in the forest: Summit, a 12-mile trail that crosses Highway 190, one-half mile west of Quaking Aspen campground; Cannell Meadow, a 9-mile trail that begins on Sierra Way Highway, one mile north of Kernville; and Jackass Creek, a 5 ½-mile trail that begins about one mile north of Fish Creek campground. |
