State Officer Vacancies

Nevada FBLA:

There are two vacancies on the State Officer Team. Based on quality of candidates, interviews, and materials, we may make appointments to fill these positions. Being consistent with association policy, these positions are not required to be filled unless the right candidates with the proper qualifications apply. The positions with vacancies are:

Eastern Region Vice President:

  • Acts as the president over the Eastern Region and must be a member of an active chapter from within this region.
  • Leads Eastern Region Meetings at all state sponsored events.
  • Coordinates Chapter Visits within the Eastern Region.
  • In cooperation with local adviser, arranges the Eastern Region Skills Conference

Vice President of Public Relations:

  • Is the editor of the State Newsletter the “SilverNotes”
  • Is the Editor of the State Chapter Annual Business Report
  • Must have desktop publishing software resources at home and at school.
  • Must provide at least one sample of past work.

Additional Requirements of all candidates:

  • 2.5 Cumulative GPA, must be maintained throughout term
  • Must attend all state officer meetings, including the May 14-17 meeting scheduled in Reno.
  • Must have internet/email access at home and school.
  • Must have mobile communication with text messaging ability.

TIMELINE AND PROCESS:

    • Application Materials will be posted by Monday, April 27 to the website.
    • Applications must be faxed to 702.543.3284 by 4 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, May 1. There is no other way to submit officer applications.
    • Candidate phone interviews will take place no later than Monday, May 4 with finalists.
    • Appointments, if made, will be announced by Wednesday, May 6.
    • Newly appointed state officers must be able to attend the May 14-17 training in Reno, NV.
