Purpose

Process all fiscal documents for the department, administer the financial aspects of the Distributive School Account and the Class Size Reduction Program, manage all payroll issues, review all audited financial reports from the school districts, compile and issue annual reports of the fiscal activity of the districts.

Key Long-Term Objectives

Develop and administer budgets that adequately reflect the needs for providing the educational system for the citizens of Nevada.
Administer funding from federal and other sources to support the education of all Nevada students.
Secure and administer funding from state fund sources to support the education of all Nevada students.
Ensure that programs operate according to funding source guidelines (state, federal or other).
Collaborate across programs to ensure best utilization of funds.
