Purpose

To manage all Department payroll issues, review all audited financial reports from the school districts, compile and issue annual reports of the fiscal activity of the districts, and audit the pupil enrollment and attendance information. Staff members license private schools, approve and maintain list of school text books, administer the state’s charter school program, monitor homeschooling, administer various state funded programs, the Federal GEAR UP Programs, and conduct other Department-wide functions.
