AYP Designations for 2006-2007 Released

(August 1, 2007) The Nevada Department of Education released the list of AYP designations for 2006-2007. Schools designated as “exemplary,” “high achieving,” "adequate", “on watch list,” and “in need of improvement”

These pages contain information regarding the annual performance of schools, school districts, and the state under the Nevada Educational Accountability System. AYP analyses are conducted annually to assess whether educational agencies (i.e. schools, districts, & the state department of education) are making adequate yearly progress toward the educational goals defined by the federal No Child Left Behind Act and Nevada Senate Bill 1. Additionally, school designations are made on the basis of previous AYP classifications. Schools that do not demonstrate adequate yearly progress for two consecutive years are designated as In Need of Improvement. Reports are posted in August for the previous school year.

Users may access the AYP reports using either a compatible Internet web browser or Microsoft Excel. It is recommended that users wishing to obtain a paper copy of a report utilize Microsoft Excel to print the desired report.
