How do I refill a prescription?

You have the option of ordering your refills 4 different ways:

1. Call the automated refill line at
(740)773-1141, ext. 7118 or
1-800-358-8262, ext. 7118

2. Mail your refill slips to:

Chillicothe, OH 45601

3. Leave your refill slips in the REFILL BOX located next to the Pharmacy Pickup window.

4. Go online to http://www.myhealth.va.gov

Frequently Asked Questions:

Where is the Outpatient Pharmacy located and what are the operating hours? The outpatient pharmacy is located on the second floor of bldg 31, next to Dental and is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm.

 

Should I bring a list of my medications with me to the hospital? Yes. Whenever you are coming to the hospital, please bring a written list of all of the medications you are taking. The list should include any medications and herbals that you have purchased at your local pharmacy or grocery store.

 

Should I see a Pharmacist before I go home from the hospital? Yes. Please come to the pharmacy to pick up your discharge medications. A pharmacist will review your discharge instructions and discuss them with you. Be sure and tell the pharmacist about any medications that you may have at home.

 

Can I expect to get written information about my medications? Yes. Printed information about medications is available and will be given to you.

 

What do I do if I have a side effect from a medication? Contact your physician, pharmacist or nurse immediately.
