Bower; Frame - John S. Edmondson; Letters - John S. Edmondson, Numerals - John S. Edmondson. First Day of Sale: July 1, 1949. Issue: 1949 - Sixteenth Duck Stamp (first $2 stamp). Quantity Sold: 1,954,734.

Inscription: Front - "U.S. Department of the Interior. Void after June 30, 1950. Migratory Bird hunting Stamp. $2." Back - "It is unlawful to hunt waterfowl unless you sign your name in ink on the face of the stamp."
