Education and Training Materials
Security education plays a critical role in the effectiveness of an agency's information security program. The Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) continues to explore ways to coordinate the dissemination of as many security education aids as possible and to develop them within the context of budgetary considerations. Below is our current inventory of security training aids.

ISOO 2005 Symposium Video*
To mark the 10th anniversary of the Executive Order that governs the classifying and declassifying of information, ISOO held a public symposium on October 18, 2005, in the William G. McGowan Theater at the National Archives in Washington, DC.
What It Features:
The symposium's keynote address was provided by former Congressman Lee H. Hamilton, who served as the Co-Chair of the National Commission on Terrorists Attacks Upon the United States (9/11 Commission). After the keynote address, two panels explored the challenges of achieving the right balance of a responsible classification system and a committed declassification program, cornerstones of an open and efficient government that serves both to protect and to inform its citizens. This video is an excellent security education tool.
How to Access:
