Appendix E. Incompatible Chemicals

This list represents the commonly used laboratory chemicals and their incompatibilities with other chemicals. This list was generated from the Hazards in the Chemical Laboratory, 4th Edition, Safety in Academic CL. Bretherick, Ed. [1986]; reproduced by permission of the Royal Society of Chemistry. It is by no means complete; however, it can be used as a guide for proper storage and use in the laboratory. Specific incompatibilities are also listed in the material safety data sheets.
