Shakespeare on the Green

Produced by the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival (NSF), this drama series stages two of the Bard's plays for three weeks each summer in a natural outdoor amphitheater on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Pre-performance workshops on Elizabethan stage craft are offered, and a Renaissance Greenshow of roaming troubadours and jugglers also precedes the play. Patrons are encouraged to bring their picnic suppers and lawn chairs. Alternating between Shakespeare's comedies, tragedies, and historical works, the performances are free and open to the public. Project documentation consists of the Shakespeare on the Green production of A Midsummer Night's Dream on video and 16 slides with accompanying descriptions.
