The Medical Center provides lodging to patients when lodging beds are available due to —

• during treatment, e.g. radiation therapy, when this would provide a convenient and/or economic alternative to repeated travel to the medical center
• early morning appointments requiring the patient to arrive the night before
• other compelling reasons preventing timely departure of patients
• inclement weather
• irregular commercial transportation schedules

All lodgers must be capable of performing all aspects of self-care.
