Yes, both are important and we must place health care at the top of the list of priorities.  In fact, the focus must be on health as a priority; each individual is responsible for adhering to a healthy lifestyle and has the right to access evidence-based care.  Health illiteracy must be addressed at every level and across all economic strata.  Ensuring access to care will require the engagement of both the private and public sectors, considering that the ultimate solution may be a combination of government-subsidized care and affordable access to private insurance.  We are paying far too much per capita to have so many of us uninsured and undersinsured.  I do believe we can reduce the cost and improve outcomes.  It has been done elsewhere in the world and I am sure that here in America, we can do the same.  We have no choice.
