Tapas style page divider

The Pacific Risk Management `Ohana (PRiMO) is the network of partners and stakeholders involved in the development and delivery of risk management–related information, products, and services in the Pacific.

PRiMO was established at the 2004 Roundtable of Federal Hazard Mitigation Partners in the Pacific Islands (FHMPPI), held in Honolulu in March 2004. This meeting was a follow-up to the first Roundtable convened by the Pacific Services Center in 2003, and brought together representatives from agencies, institutions, and organizations involved in Pacific risk management-related projects and activities with the overall goal of enhancing communication, coordination, and collaboration among the `ohana of partners and stakeholders involved in this work.

Accomplishments of the 2004 Roundtable include:

  • the formation of several working groups, or hui o hana;
  • the identification of a series of action items (PDF, 33.9KB) to be carried out by the working groups over the coming year; and
  • the formation of a Navigators Council.
