NEW! Direct Deposit
The Unemployment Insurance
(UI) Program offers direct deposit as a payment method. With
direct deposit, benefits are electronically deposited directly
to an existing checking or savings account of your choice. After
receiving your 4-digit personal identification number from the
UI Program, visit the
Payment Selection Web page to select direct deposit as your
payment method. The Payment Selection Web page is available 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. The UI Program automatically
deposits your benefit payments to the
Colorado
Automated Payment (CAP) Card unless you request direct
deposit as your payment method. For more information, visit
Direct
Deposit Frequently Asked Questions.
Cubline Online and Internet

Due to the volume of traffic
to CUBLine Online and Internet Initial Claims, claimants may
experience intermittent slowness when filing an unemployment
claim online. Callers to the UI Benefits Line (303) 318-9000
with a specific question about their claim may experience
extended wait times up to an hour. For answers to commonly
asked questions and information on Extended Unemployment
Compensation please check the

Extension of Emergency
Unemployment Compensation
President Bush has signed into
law a bill that provides up to seven additional weeks of
Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) to eligible,
unemployed individuals. The first payable week for this
extension of EUC is the week of November 23–29, 2008. The
Customer Contact Center is currently experiencing high call
volumes and callers are experiencing long wait times. Detailed
information is available on the
EUC Web page. If you review the
EUC Web page, you may find answers to your questions and
eliminate the need to call the Customer Contact Center. The
Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will contact all
potentially eligible individuals with filing instructions and
will update the
EUC Web page with new information.

The Colorado Department of Labor &
Employment has moved, (effective 5/31/05):
Get Directions
Colorado is a great place to live and
work. At the Department of Labor and Employment, we want to ensure
that this continues -- and that means never taking Colorado workers or
the businesses that employ them, for granted.
We are committed to
both employers and workers by providing an up to date accurate picture
of the economy that helps in decision making; by assisting workers who
have been injured on the job or lost a job through no fault of their
own; by ensuring fair labor practices. And by protecting the work
place-and Colorado communities-with a variety of safety programs.
Businesses and workers
across the state are providing the intellectual capital, the energy,
adaptability and talent that will build Colorado as this century
progresses. The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will be
there to help at every step on the journey ahead.
