About the Program

The Extended Care and Rehabilitation Program at CAVHCS encompasses the "whole person" concept. Initiatives include Dedicated Alzheimer Dementia Unit, Therapeutic Walking Area, and Eden Alternative concept creating a home-like environment. It is composed of six major areas —

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)

PM&R services may be included in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting —

• Audiology
• Kinesiotherapy
• Occupational therapy
• Physical therapy
• Speech/language pathology
• Comprehensive Chronic Pain Management Clinic 
• Electro-Diagnostic Lab
• Spinal Cord Injury Service/referrals.
